We spend so much time focusing on the things we were told when we were young (e.g., have a firm handshake!) - only to discover that they don’t actually matter.

And to make matters worse, there’s a whole new world of things (from Applicant Tracking Systems to the LinkedIn algorithm) that do matter - but that may not have even have existed when we were young!

So to set the record straight, let me walk you through the seven biggest job search myths - and what the research actually says - including:
