What is the Apprenticeship Trade Exemption?
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) has authorized community colleges to administer the Apprenticeship Trade Exemption exams.
If you successfully complete a trade exemption test, you may be exempt from some of the formal, in-class instruction required for your apprenticeship.

To book an appointment, contact the Assessment Centre through email or by phone. Appointments are available from Monday to Friday at 9:00 am or 11:00 am.

Where do I take the Apprenticeship Trade Exemption?
All Apprenticeship Trade Exemption appointments will take place at the Casa Loma Assessment Centre.
Is there a charge for the test?
The fee for proctoring a Trade Exemption exam is $150 per test.
What do I need to bring to the test appointment?
On the day of your exam, you will need to bring current Photo Identification and your Test Fee.
