Indigenous Mentorship Program at George Brown College
The Indigenous Mentorship Program is dedicated to supporting Indigenous students by providing services that foster personal and academic growth. Our program aims to create a strong sense of community, support, and belonging while empowering students to achieve their educational and career goals.
What We Offer:
- Peer-to-peer Academic Mentorship: Receive guidance from other students who can share insights, strategies, and support for academic success.
- Community Connection and Belonging: Build lasting relationships and feel connected to the broader Indigenous community within George Brown College.
- Workshops to Enhance Personal and Professional Skills: Participate in workshops focusing on personal development and career readiness, which will help you develop valuable skills in academic and professional settings.
- Ceremony and Culturally Enriching Activities: Engage in activities that celebrate Indigenous culture and provide opportunities for personal reflection and growth, including traditional ceremonies and cultural teachings.
- Leadership and Learning Opportunities: Gain valuable leadership experience and expand your learning through mentorship and various program initiatives that help you grow as an individual and community member.
