George Brown College's Physical Footprint
George Brown College (GBC) campuses and locations are continually evolving to meet the diverse needs of our community. Exciting work is underway, and big changes are on the horizon.
When we began operations in 1968, we had five buildings on two campuses: the Dartnell Campus, near Casa Loma, and the Nassau Street Campus in Kensington Market.

Since then, there's been incredible growth, expansion, and innovation, with the construction or acquisition of several buildings across the Casa Loma, St. James, and Waterfront campuses as well as other locations across Toronto, including at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), our student residence The George, and others.
Waterfront Campus expansion
GBC continues to play a vital role in the growth and development of Toronto's East Bayfront community — home to our expanding Waterfront Campus — with the construction of our 10-storey mass-timber, net-zero carbon emissions building, Limberlost Place. In December 2023, we acquired 25 Dockside Dr., also known as Corus Quay.

Mass timber trailblazer
Limberlost Place, our stunning and sustainable addition to the Waterfront Campus, will open in January 2025. The 10-storey building is a global model of mass timber construction.
